Rules of Play

  • Although play areas are monitored, all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (over the age of 18) who must remain within the building and supervise their children at all times. The Play Arena does not accept responsibility for the supervision of children. For every four (4) children in a group there must be one responsible adult.
  • Shoes must be removed before entering the play area. Socks must be worn at all times by children and adults.
  • Play is restricted to two hours during peak times. Overstay of an enforced play time limit will result in an overstay charge which must be paid in full on leaving the building.
  • Only children under 4’10” or 148cm may play.
  • Adults must ensure that children play on age appropriate equipment as some is not suitable for all ages. Adults are prohibited from playing on the equipment.
  • No sharp objects, including jewellery and badges, may be taken into the play area. Spectacles should only be worn if used with a retainer and shatter proof lenses. Chewing gum is strictly prohibited.
  • Children and adults are advised to wear long trousers and long sleeved shirts on play equipment. Clothes should be tucked in at all times. Clothes with ropes and cords should not be worn in the play area.
  • Balls or other objects must not be thrown at each other.
  • Fighting, bullying, abusive, aggressive or any other type of behaviour deemed unsuitable towards staff, management or other members of the public, from either children or adults, will not be tolerated and management reserve the right to enforce total bans.
  • Adults must report any behavioural concerns to a member of staff and not attempt to intervene themselves.
  • All accidents, however minor, must be reported to a member of staff to ensure that necessary assistance can be provided. These will be logged and are an important part of ongoing safety audits.
  • Any damage to Play Arena property must be reported to a member of staff.
  • The Play Arena does not accept liability for loss, damage or theft of valuables.
  • It is forbidden to smoke or play with fire on Play Arena property.
  • No food or drink may be consumed in the Play Arena unless purchased on site.
  • Any spillages must be reported to a member of staff.
  • Nappy changing and the use of potties etc. must be conducted in the designated areas. Please ensure that all nappies are placed in the correct bins.
  • Children who are unwell or who have been unwell in the last 48 hours should not visit the centre. Children who become unwell in the centre must leave immediately.
  • The Play Arena reserves the right to refuse admission and the right to alter times, prices, menus and equipment without notification.
